What are the issues affecting older people that concern you?
Health? Staying active? Getting about as you get older? Dementia?
Home care? Residential care? Money? Paying for care? Caring for a partner or relative?

What are your views:
on local bus services, the health service, hospital transport, Brampton recycling centre, activities for older people, local footpaths, adult social care, support for carers?

The 50+ Forum meets six times a year.
Meetings are held in the Brampton Community Centre and are preceded by lunch in the community café and followed by tea and biscuits.

The next forum meeting will be held on Tuesday 25 February 2020.
Lunch of soup and sandwiches with tea or coffee for £5 will be available in the Community Café at 12:30pm. It is essential to book your lunch and choice by the morning of the previous Friday, 21st February, by contacting the community centre on 016977 45023.
The meeting begins at 1:30pm.
The speaker and topic are still to be confirmed.

Recent speakers - all local people - have included: the High Sheriff of Cumbria, members of the Library Service, a parish councillor, a pharmacist, an optometrist, members of the Fire Service team, volunteers from Macmillan nurses, representatives from Adult Social Care, Carlisle Carers, and Sustainable Brampton.

Discussions have ranged from maintenance of local footpaths to provision of extra-care housing in Brampton.
