There is also a chance to 'Have your say on the future of Moot Lodge care home' by completing an online survey on the Cumberland Council website.

What are the issues affecting older people that concern you?
Health? Staying active? Getting about as you get older? Dementia?
Home care? Residential care? Money? Paying for care? Caring for a partner or relative?

What are your views:
on local bus services, the health service, hospital transport, Brampton recycling centre, activities for older people, local footpaths, adult social care, support for carers?

Recent speakers - all local people - have included: the High Sheriff of Cumbria, members of the Library Service, Chairman of Brampton Parish Council, a pharmacist, an optometrist, members of the Fire Service team, volunteers from Macmillan nurses, representatives from Adult Social Care, Carlisle Carers, and Sustainable Brampton.

Discussions have ranged from maintenance of local footpaths to provision of extra-care housing in Brampton.
